Explore the iconic building Phive in Parramatta CBD, where SOPMCA members immerse themselves in awe-inspiring innovative design. Phive not only made it to the shortlist of the 2023 World Library Awards but also proudly achieved the Australian 6-star Green Star rating, showcasing its leading position in the world of architectural design and construction.
Its enormous louvre windows intelligently respond to various weather conditions, automatically opening to bring in fresh air and natural light, whether it’s scorching heat, gusty winds, or dampness. During our one-hour tour, we not only discovered Phive’s innovative design features and sustainable development concepts but also delved into its spatial planning, cultural artistry, and heartwarming stories of Chinese immigrants who lived in Parramatta a century ago. Afterwards, we took a stroll along the Parramatta Lake reserve, continuing to experience the urban charm of Sydney’s Western District.
